JOIN US FOR - "31 Days of Thanksgiving & Praise - 2011"

Hallelujah! Thank God! And why?
Because he's good, because his love lasts.
Psalm 106:1 The Messsage

It is an insult to God to deny His existence or worse deny the fact that He has been good to us; regardless of what we might we might have gone or are going through. The fact that we are alive is a testimony to His faithfulness, Mercy and never-ending love for us.

It is ever so easy and convenient to see our life as half-empty (severely lacking all the things we want as opposed to it being Half-full (on its way to becoming what God wants it to be).  However, 1 Thessalonians 5:18 encourages us to “Thank [God] in everything [no matter what the circumstances may be, be thankful and give thanks], for this is the will of God for you [who are] in Christ Jesus [the Revealer and Mediator of that will]”

We must understand that:
  • To be thankful means to have the feelings and expressions of gratitude and to be appreciative
  • To be expressive means to put thoughts into action and words; to openly display how one truly feels.
  •  To show gratitude means to display the quality of being grateful and thankful. It is to show sincere thankfulness that comes from within ones heart.
  • And finally to be appreciative means for one to show and act in the intuition, knowledge and understand the intricacy of the ramifications of being thankful to God.

On that note, we invite you to join us in our yearly season of ‘Thanksgiving and Praise’.  It is a month long season where we thank and praise God for the very essence of our lives in Him.

Let us come together and be thankful for the year 2011, that despite all the chaotic levels of disasters, stress and madness going on around the world, God has been good and faithful and kept us. Whatever we might have gone or are going through I believe we DO have reasons to be thankful to God and really praise His name.

We invite you to join us DAILY, from 1 to 31 December 2011 as we open our hearts in praise to God and place our ‘virtual baskets’ of thanksgiving at the master’s feet.

HOW IT WORKS
WE:  Daily (in the morning) there will be a Thanksgiving & Praise Blog post on this website. This post will express what we at ADIGW are thankful to God for and the reasons why we are praising His name.

At the end of the blog post will be your invitation. We will invite you to express your thanks and praise to God.

YOU: Will write in the ‘comments section’ which is at the end of each blog post, your thanksgiving and praise to God.

YOU - GUEST FEATURE: If you would like to submit a guest ‘Thanksgiving & Praise’ blog article, please contact me and the necessary guidelines and arrangements will be made. We do however ask for at least 3 days notice from the time we receive your article to publication.

WE: At the end of each day, in the comments section, an appreciation of all the thanks and praise collected is presented to God in prayer.

As you join us to give thanks and praise to our beautiful, faithful and loving God, I pray that you will experience the fullness of the glory of Jesus Christ in your life and decree that you will conclude 2011 strong; spiritually and physically for God’s glory. Amen.

Enter into His gates with thanksgiving
and a thank offering and into His courts with praise!
Be thankful and say to Him, bless and
affectionately praise His name!
Psalm 100:4

Much Love,
Remi

Taking United Kingdom Back --- BY FORCE!!!

Anyone who has been watching the news will agree that the United Kingdom has been taken over by the spirit of Anarchy, with the sole purpose of causing as much disruption and breakdown to  society .
The vehicle and instrument of the spirit of anarchy’s warfare is the next generation; youths, of all races and various backgrounds and the channel it is using is greed and sheer disregard for their fellow men.
It was not a long time ago that the Church was an integral part of local community life, and the Word of God and its morals were a template for living in harmony and peace.  Communities educated and brought up children together. There was a sense of trust, peace, hope and faith; there was a sense of purpose, ambition and zeal for life. There was a time when the United Kingdom lived up to its name - it was UNITED and it was living and breathing as the KINGDOM of God

It is sad to see this happen in a country where not too many centuries ago, the Church (The Body of Christ) played a very important role in the everyday life of the society at large.  For instance, the Church courts regulated moral behaviour and settled disputes between neighbours, educated the local children and helped the poor and the needy.

So what happened to this beautiful nation of ours, a nation that up unto recently, so lovingly embraced the word of God?

Preparation Goes A Long Way...!

There is something about the newness of a thing, time or place that creates an eagerness and expectation to see and embrace change.

Whether we like it or not, New Seasons of life, just like the weather will always 'BE'; even God says so in Genesis 8:22 which reads "while the earth remains, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease".

However, simply being eager and expectant is not enough, although it is a start. Just like we prepare for the cold and hot seasons, we must prepare for our 'Spiritual Seasons' in life.

If we pay attention and listened very carefully we will realise that... 'A New Season requires all to prepare for its coming and unveiling'.

How do you prepare?  Read more at:   www.adayingodswill.com

Doing 'nothing' whilst waiting for the manifestation of a New Season is not the right state or stance for a believer to be in.

So I hope as you read these articles, that you are encouraged, uplifted and inspired to 'actively' wait (do what He has asked you to do) on God in your seasons of life.

Much Love,
Remi

Success God's Way

If you willingly obey me, the best
crops in the land will be yours.
Isaiah 1:19 CEV

One of the greatest differences between the world’s message and God’s regarding success is this:  the world seeks a single formula to produce successful results for everyone, while God’s plans are far more creative, and personalized!

Reading about Moses in Exodus 1 & 2, from the onset, even before He was born, it looked like he was set to be a failure and have a doomed future because of the decree in the land passed by king Pharaoh at that time.  The decree was that every male child born to the Israelites should be killed by the midwives, whilst the female children were spared!  God however, had other ideas. He used the same decree to provide the means of the future of the deliverer of Israel.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING - COUNT YOUR BLESSINGS - JOIN US

Come, let us sing to the Lord! Let us shout joyfully to the Rock of our salvation. Let us come to him with thanksgiving.  Let us sing psalms of praise to him. For the Lord is a great God,  a great King above all gods.
Psalm 95: 1- 3

It is easy to live everyday through the eyes of negativity; never seeing the good in anything, nor having the reason or need to be thankful. It is easy to look at certain milestones in life from the view point of it being “half empty” as opposed to being “half full”. However, the bible tells us in 1 Thessalonians 5:18 to “Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus”.
  • To be thankful is defined as having the feeling or expression of gratitude.  It means to be appreciative
  • To be expressive means to put thoughts into words and actions. To openly display how one feels
  • To show gratitude means to display the quality of being grateful and thankful. That is sincere thankfulness that comes from the heart.
  • To be appreciative means to show clear insight, intuition and knowledge. It is also to show the knowledge of wisdom for reasons and ramifications of being thankful.
In this season of  THANKSGIVING, I encourage us all to cast aside, burdens, cares, desires, hurts and all and embrace the spirit of Thanksgiving and praise to the one how has kept you well and safe.

Loyal To The End - NEW BLOG POST

LOYALTY is defined as "the state or quality of being faithful to commitments and obligation".   It is also seen as having faithful adherence to a sovereign leader or cause

As we move towards the end of yet another year, it is easy to give up that which we started in January or years before, because we have not seen the manifestation of the results we have hoped for.

It is easy for hope to turn into despair and disappointment. However, like a farmer who works for the precious fruits of the earth to manifest, we must be actively loyal to plant, water and tender the seeds of the work that God has called us to do, in the garden He has placed us in.

Feeling like this year is a lost cause and want to throw in the towel and give up?  I encourage you not not.

PRAISE BENEFITS

Enter into His gates with thanksgiving
and a thank offering and into His courts
with praise! Be thankful and say so to Him,
bless and affectionately praise His name
Psalm 100:4

No book epitomises the spirit of praise and thanksgiving like the book of Psalms. It has 150 Psalms recorded, more than any other in the bible. The oldest praise and thanksgiving to God is recorded in Exodus 15:1-15, by Moses. This was a song of triumph of God over Egypt.

No other man lived and displayed the importance of praise like David. He has 73 of the 150 psalms attributed to him.

In 1Thessalonians 5:18, we are encouraged to give praise and thanks to God, no matter what. Yes, it is a tall order, especially when one is in the middle of the fire, but this is how Christ wants us to live. 1Thessalonians 5:18 reads “Thank [God] in everything [no matter what the circumstances may be, be thankful and give thanks], for this is the will of God for you [who are] in Christ Jesus [the Revealer and Mediator of that will]” (AMP).

I have come to learn, know and appreciate the power of thanksgiving and praise. I like to think of it as thus:

Praise is medicine to the soul
Mends the broken spirit
Secures and makes it whole

You see, we fail to understand what is happening to us at times, and the truth is we may never understand it, however, through the good and bad times, God wants us to praise and thank our way through, showing our faith and trust in Him.

“But why do I have to praise?” I hear you ask. “Remi, it is difficult to praise when my whole world is falling or has fallen apart”, I hear you say.

I know, it is never easy, but praise is the clearest and most direct means by which we resolve to declare our absolute trust in God. Our praises and thanksgiving confess and confirm our allegiance to Jesus Christ.  The beauty of God’s love is that we also benefit when we praise and give thanks to Him.

Here are some specific benefits we obtain from praising God:

  • Praise magnifies God: Praise shifts our focus from our problems or blessings, onto God. When we do so, the power of God’s presence gives the ability to transform our thinking. For example, it changes our thinking from being a victim to a victor of circumstances or blessings.

  • Praise makes us humble: When we praise, we have a better understanding and a more righteous view of ourselves. Praise and thanksgiving directed to God will take away pride and self-worship.

  • Praise declares our devotion to God: If we love God and understand the nature of His love for us, then regardless of the situation, we will continuously give glory to Him in praise and thanksgiving.

  • Praise brings us joy: It is true that when we go through crises, joy is one of the first things to go; strife and stress try to take hold. However, the beauty and blessing of praise is that Joy is its constant companion. Whenever we feel depressed or discouraged, praising God with all that we are and with everything within us soon bring us joy.

  • Praise establishes our faith: The greater, bigger and mightier we see God, the smaller we see whatever trials we might be going through. Praise re-affirms that God is bigger than anything and everything, including our problems.
When we praise God and give thanks to Him, we are confirming the fact that He is over and above everything in our lives, whether problems, or indeed blessings.  I say blessings because, when we eventually see the manifestation of the blessings that we seek from God, we should never forget that they are NOT to replace God for they are NOT bigger than God.

So I encourage you today that whatever trials you might be going through, praise and give thanks to God who is right there with you.  When you feel prone to give up and your mind is telling you “what is the point of it all?” I encourage you to continue to give praise and thanks to God.

Commit yourself to a life of praise and fellowship with Jesus Christ and experience the fullness of what God means by ‘JOY’ (which by the way is not dependant on your circumstances at any point in time).

Give thanks and praise to God who is forever with you, the one who is truly faithful; making Him famous along your way.

Much Love, Remi
