On the third day... He is Risen!!!

And on the third day Jesus Christ arose from the dead, and He was transformed and clothed with awesome glory. Hallelujah!!

1 Corinthians 15:12-21 Reads:

"12 But tell me this—since we preach that Christ rose from the dead, why are some of you saying there will be no resurrection of the dead? 13 For if there is no resurrection of the dead, then Christ has not been raised either. 14 And if Christ has not been raised, then all our preaching is useless, and your faith is useless. 15 And we apostles would all be lying about God—for we have said that God raised Christ from the grave. But that can’t be true if there is no resurrection of the dead. 16 And if there is no resurrection of the dead, then Christ has not been raised. 17 And if Christ has not been raised, then your faith is useless and you are still guilty of your sins. 18 In that case, all who have died believing in Christ are lost! 19 And if our hope in Christ is only for this life, we are more to be pitied than anyone in the world. "

That passage, explains and re-affirms the reason for it all. It explains to us that without the resurrection of Jesus Christ, there will be no need for us to preach the gospel (imagine that!) it would mean that we will still be on a permanent fast track to hell, with no hope at all. But Jesus gave us hope, He went into the pits of hell, defeated death, got back the dominion the enemy stole from us and gave us the victory through His resurrection, so that we might be resurrected to be with Him on that faithful day! Hallelujah!

The resurrection of Jesus Christ also assures us of the following and much more:

  • It demonstration of the true power of God, as written in Ephesians 1:19-21 it reads "19 I also pray that you will understand the incredible greatness of God’s power for us who believe him. This is the same mighty power 20 that raised Christ from the dead and seated him in the place of honor at God’s right hand in the heavenly realms. 21 Now he is far above any ruler or authority or power or leader or anything else—not only in this world but also in the world to come"

  • It explains Romans 10:9, which reads "we are told how to be saved. It says that "if you confess with your mouth 'Jesus is Lord' and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." This means that we cannot be a Christian unless we believe in the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

  • By His resurrection, Jesus Christ secured our justification as explained in Romans 4:25, which reads "He was handed over to die because of our sins, and he was raised to life to make us right with God." Imagine that! He made us right with God...!!!

  • It also assures us that the our whole Christian life is in the power of His resurrection. This is explained in Romans 6:4: " For we died and were buried with Christ by baptism. And just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glorious power of the Father, now we also may live new lives. " Praise God!!!
So today, as we celebrate Easter, lets remember the reason for the season, the reality and promises of embracing it's promises and meanings. Lets remember the victory that Jesus gave us this very day, and lets boldly walk in it's representation, bringing forth God's ordained manifestation.

Have a wonderful Easter Sunday, not forgetting to thank and make the almighty God even more famous than you did yesterday.

A love worth Giving...

He came...
He learnt...
He thought...
He lived ...
He died
for you and me...
Our lives He snatched
from the graves
re-directing our paths
our destinity He changed...
our souls He rescued and saved

Today, many years ago, God scarified His one and only Son, our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. He was killed for the elevation of you and I. This as described in 1 John 4: 9 - 10, it reads:

9 In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him. 10 In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins

This sacrifice epic's the meaning of love and it's worth. It writes a story of
" A love Worth Giving" as further explained in John 3:16, it reads " For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life"

The death of Jesus Christ on this very day inverted our pathway to Hell!!
The dictionary explains invert as: to reverse in position, order, direction, or relationship.
So, it is safe to say that the death of our saviour on the cross, that faithful day, many years ago, did the following and much more:

  • It changed the direction and nature of our eternity!
  • He changed our direction from hell bound to heaven bound,
  • He changed our relationship with the world and the devil, to a relationship with God and heaven.
  • He changed our stance from a sinner to a saint
  • and our identity from guilty to justified!
Isn't that just awesome... ?!!!

In all this, somehow somewhere in God's mind, He finds it a worthy cause to sacrifice His only son, all through the love He has for mankind!!! I mean how many of us would sacrife our seats on a packed train for the old lady hangin onto the rails!?!?. But God found the essence of His love for us, was simply "A love worth giving" For this we must embrace and treat this event as such!

So today as we celebrate the death of Jesus Christ, let us remember, we celebrate Life it has given us, we celebrate the essence and meaning of love that God has shown to mankind, we celebrate the meaning of what God has done for us through our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

I encourage you to come, drink your fill from His blood that was shed this very day, I promise you will never be the same again.
Have a great day celebrating the death of our Lord and saviour Jesus Christ, not forgetting to make the most High God famous along the way.

Happy Easter!

Introduce Him...

Someone introduced me
to a man, who is not a man
who resides within the heavens

yet, His presence is evident all around

Someone told me...
my realities and dreams
Can be realised if I reached out

and invited Him in, embracing the reality
and essence of who He is.

I called out His name,

pleaded to Him to show me His ways
my life He changed,
never to be the same again

and so..
I told someone about
this man's greatness,
His love, His comfort and kindness

His never ending mercies and faithfulness

I told someone about Jesus
the saviour of all who seek Him
the giver of peace and calm within

The God and ruler of everything

2 Corinthians 4:5 reads "For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake."

Someone, somewhere is waiting for that very introduction that will lead them into the waiting arms of the father.

Have a wonderful day, introducing at least one person to the wonderful saviour, Jesus Christ.

The God Who Sees...

Genesis 16:13: Then she called the name of the LORD who spoke to her, You-Are-the-God-Who-Sees; for she said, “Have I also here seen Him who sees me?”

El Roi is Hebrew for "You - Are - The - God - Who - Sees"
Imagine that!!! He is so awesome...

Yes... He is the God who sees all that you are going through
the valleys you are journeying through
the hills and mountains you are scaling
the waters you are waddling through

Wherever you are in life, remember; God is there with you.
It might not seem evident when you look around, but be rest assured; his eyes are focused on you, as confirmed in Psalm 121: 4 "Behold, He who keeps Israel Shall neither slumber nor sleep"

And his ever watchful eyes confirmed in Psalm 139:7-10, which reads " 7 Where can I go from Your Spirit? Or where can I flee from Your presence? 8 If I ascend into heaven, You are there; If I make my bed in hell, behold, You are there. 9 If I take the wings of the morning, And dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea, 10 Even there Your hand shall lead me, And Your right hand shall hold me."

If God sees the Sparrow's fall
Paint the lilies short and tall
Gives the skies their Azure and hue
will he not then, care for you?

So here is me wishing you a great day in confidence that the good Lord who sees you, is constantly watching over you; not forgetting to make him famous along the way.

Unspoken...

In the midst of calmness
chaos reigns within the realms her soul
she hungers for His presence to heal
and simply make her whole...

A forlorn look resides on the edge of her face
as she stares into the defined emptiness of space;
teardrops
rolling down the soft hills of her cheeks,
she presents a picture
in dire need of a warm embrace

There she sits, on a cold winter afternoon

so many things envisaged broken, yet

ringing in her ears are words patiently
waiting to disperse healing to her very soul.
Words perched on soft lips,
quietly abandoned and left unspoken

Philippians 4:6-7 "6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus."

Go on, speak to God, tell Him about that heaviness that keeps pressing down on your soul, the very one that threatens to swallow you whole...

He is always near,
He always listens,
His presence will chase
away the fears, whilst
catching every single tear
