In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.
The earth was formless and empty, and darkness
covered the deep waters. And the Spirit of God was
hovering over the surface of the waters.
The first week of every year is usually a time the diligent will sit down and put together a plan for their lives. I say diligent because not everyone does so. However, failing to write down our plans means we have given the year permission to unfold whichever way it wants to. It means we have given the year permission to attend to the world's next screaming sensation.
This could be likened to someone who is trying to loose weight who sways in tune to the newest diet sensation, rather than treating the root cause of the problem of weight gain. The result will to be on a constant diet roller coaster, never fully achieving the desired results.
Beside putting together a Life, yearly, monthly, weekly and daily plan, a very important thing that we must do is SPEAK into our lives; in to our present and future.
Beside putting together a Life, yearly, monthly, weekly and daily plan, a very important thing that we must do is SPEAK into our lives; in to our present and future.
SPOKEN WORDS CREATES WORLDS.
From the opening verse, Genesis 1:1-3, it is explained that the earth was without form or void, this means that it was in a mess. The message Bible helps to make this even clearer, it reads "First this: God created the Heavens and Earth—all you see, all you don't see. Earth was a soup of nothingness, a bottomless emptiness, an inky blackness. God's Spirit brooded like a bird above the watery abyss."
From this, lets ask ourselves the question; what is the state of our lives at the beginning of this year? Is it a soup of confusion, of mis-aligned priorities, of debt, of sin, and or lack of focus?
Going back to the opening verses, to rectify all the mess the earth was in, God started to do something, apart from the plan that He had for earth, for we know our God is a God of order 1 Corinthians 14:33a..., HE SPOKE. From verse 3, the Bible says in Genesis 1:3, "God spoke.... " . God began to speak order into the earth. Whatever God said it came to be. He spoke light, day, night, land, firmament and all. Read Genesis 1 for completion.
The question today is thus; what do you want to change, fix, be rectified or aligned to God's will in you life? Along with the plans God has given you, you MUST SPEAK. Start to say something into forming and shaping of your life.
The Bible says in Genesis 1:27 that God created us in His own Image, it reads "So God created man in His own image, in the image and likeness of God He created him; male and female He created them."
Image means to: to be a reflection, a mirrored likeness of, or a semblance of something or someone.
As we are created in God's image, it means we have the same abilities that He has. So as God spoke order into the earth, we also can speak order into our lives. We can speak whatever we want to speak into our lives.
As you start this new year and indeed a new decade, I encourage you that as you work and walk God's plan for your life this year, to also SPEAK the plan. Our faith is a spoken faith, which means what we declare shall be, just as confirmed in Job 22:28, which reads "You will also declare a thing, And it will be established for you; So light will shine on your ways"
This year, the choice is ours to make. Do we speak life and give God something to work with or speak death and give the devil something run wild with.
I wish you a good start to the year, rising, running and reigning in and through God as you should; making Him famous along the way.
Much Love, Remi
