Release...

Standing in the middle of the crowded room,
mingling with the people therein
She's outside, looking in

She tries to dress like she should,
talk like most people do, Walk

like her mother taught and told her to

Beneath the calm poised posture
she struggles with anxieties that
threaten to burst through the doors of her sub-consciousness
Anxieties hiding behind the shadows of her every move

Each move she makes masks:
Muddled feelings
Unspoken words
Unrealised dreams
Unrepresented meanings
Locked up doors

Each motion gives a glimpse of:
Un-quenched thirst
Hidden beauty
Silent cries
Unexplored abilities
Unexplored dimensions

Yet, she embraces what she loves
what brings her immense joy

That, which explains to her soul
the meanings and reasons for it all

She wraps herself in the reality of simply
Being all she can be, Striving to realise

the dreams and desires that cries for release,
from depths within

It talks about a broken, yet strong person defying the odds. An amaizing individual.

I say I cannot even shout!!!

This poem is short of words. What comment shall I put down now? As I read, my heart kept beating irregularly. And I felt that "release." Thanks...

And also...I'm always blessed by ur comments. You this girl! loll...thank God for your life. :)

With head help up high she walks on, ignoring the stares. "for she is confident" "in the hope of the promise she's received." A hope that though hangs on a thread, keeps her going.....
Thanks for this blessed prose.... it's very touching for me.... the simplicity of it said it all.... bravo!!!!
