31 Days Thanksgiving and Praise - Day 31...WE MADE IT!!!

Drum roll please.... bam, bam, bam, bam...

By God's grace we have made it to today, 31 December 2008!. But still, it is not over, until you win your race. Expand your heart, minds, spirits and increase your expectation. Keep working in earnest for a second before the clock strikes midnight, is more than enough for God to do that which you have been praying and hoping for. He is faithful!

Without much ado... Today Wonderful counselor, king of Kings, Lord of Lords, my maker, the Alpha and Omega, the all present, all knowing, ever loving, ever faithful, ever blessing, incredible and wonderful Victorious one... I am thankful for this very day, for seeing yet another 31st day of December! All glory to you father, for it is not my doing, it is only by your power and grace!

I am thankful for this blog - A day in God's will". For the privilege and the push towards obedience to put up this 31 days of thanksgiving and praise; giving everyone the outlet to sing your praises, for all you have done, are doing and are still going to do, with and through them. I am thankful for the testimonies that have come out of thanking and praising you and the lives that have been changed as a result of it. Be glorified!

I am thankful that this year, despite all my stumbling, fumbling and time wasting; you still saw it fit to forgive me, elevate me, expand my territory, and still use me for your glory; even at times when I grumbled all the way through! Amazing.

I thank you for all the scolding you gave me along the way too. Oh yes, I am thankful for the rebuking, and the telling me off. It was definitely for my own good! For you correct those you love. Scolding me, tells and shows me that you love me, and it also brings Proverbs 3: 11-12 to reality. It reads "11 My child, don’t reject the Lord’s discipline, and don’t be upset when he corrects you. 12 For the Lord corrects those he loves, just as a father corrects a child in whom he delights".

I am thankful that you have seen not just me through another year, but my friends, my families (near and far, and even across the Internet, on blogsville!). Even though the devil tried to mess with us through sickness, joblessness; trying to steal our Joy every single possible way he could, I am thankful for we have the upper hand, you gave us the victory and we declared and proclaimed it, singing your praises all the way through. You made 1 Corinthians 15:56 -57 our sweet reality!. It reads "56 For sin is the sting that results in death, and the law gives sin its power. 57 But thank God! He gives us victory over sin and death through our Lord Jesus Christ".

I am thankful that I can look around me and each and every single one of us! By your grace we are still here, breathing, talking, in good health and wealth and able to still declare your glory and sing your praise all day long! I thank you with every single fiber of my being.

I am thankful for all the trials and tribulations that I have gone through this year! Oh yes, I am thankful for them. The devil tried to frustrate me, but on reflection, the experience only made me stronger, wiser, smarter, more diligent, resourceful and more determined to win and finish this race you have set before me! I lived out in its entirely, the reality of James 1: 2- 4, which reads "Dear brothers and sisters, when troubles come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy. 3 For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. 4 So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing." The devil is in so much trouble, come 2009!

I am thankful for all the things the thief, the devil stole from me - Yes you read that right! Why? Well because now, he has to give it back to me MINIMUM, SEVEN FOLD, as confirmed in Proverbs 6:30 - 31, which reads "30 Excuses might be found for a thief who steals because he is starving. 31 But if he is caught, he must pay back seven times what he stole, even if he has to sell everything in his house. Now isn't that something? He tried, but he could not steal my joy, so guess what? He cannot keep my goods. Soon enough he will learn to stop stealing from me, because it will only cost him more than he bargained for!

I am thankful for adayingodswill Christmas gifts - the creative spirit, the ability, the obedience, the resources, the help I had from my wonderful friends, the sleepless nights that went into getting them ready and the distribution. I know someone somewhere will be reconciled back to you because of them!

I am thankful for you are preparing me for the things to come even before the end of this day, the end of 2008, and my "fulfilment and walking in my destiny" year of 2009.

I am thankful for my future is bright - like Kings kid said a while back "I will need designer sun-glasses to handle the glare"!

I am thankful for your promises to me this year has indeed been Yes and Amen. A splendid reality of 2 Corinthians 1:20 , which reads "For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us".

I am thankful that the gates of my heart is enlarged, my lifestyle and priorities have been re-arranged and aligned to make room for you and that my expectations has no limits!

I am thankful that "there are no impossibilities within my realities" this year and indeed in 2009 and years after that!

I am thankful that by your grace, you continue to gear me up in readiness to Rise, Run and Reign in you wisdom, strength and power; for the advancement of your kingdom and all for glory!

Finally, I am thankful that I don't know how to end this 31 Days of Thanksgiving and Praise! This is because thanking and praising you never has to end. It should be part of our daily fellowship and friendship with you. So I declare I will thank and praise you every single day of 2009, regardless my immediate reality, making you famous as I do so.

On that note, my God and king, my maker, the lifter of my head, my hope, my peace, my joy, the my source, my everything and my ALL; I come to you dancing (electric slide, break-dancing, running man and all), singing, clapping, singing your praises, with my basket OVERFLOWING with THANK YOUs, for seeing me through this year.

I am thankful for your grace has been more than sufficient, your protection over my life and every single thing that concerns me has been amazing.

I am thankful that I HAVE FINISHED STRONG AND BY YOUR GRACE WILL START WELL IN 2009, in JESUS NAME! Amen.

I thank you for boundless expectation of what is to come by the end of today and in 2009!

I'm off to get my sun-glasses, my future is definitely golden...

31 Days Thanksgiving and Praise - Day 30

On Sunday 28 my insightful pastor delivered a message about making room within our hearts, minds and daily lives; in anticipation to what God is going to do for, with and through us for his glory, by the end of year and throughout 2009. He encouraged us to clean up the inside of who we are and make room, and build bridges for God to visit in his glory and dwell.

I bought the message, downloaded it on my ipod (I love technology) and listened to it all day on Monday; to and fro from work, whilst at work, whilst in the gym, even when I got home, and the last thing before I went to bed. Paying attention to every single word, praying and meditating and doing my best to “tidy up, throw out the old, in preparation for the new” little did I know about the cobwebs that hung and lurked around within ?

This morning, about an hour before typing this post, I woke up and played that message again and continued with the prayers and then the revealing and healing, all of which I was not expecting, began in earnest… ***Happy Sigh***

Today my wonderful maker, with your praises on my lips and your name on my tongue, I come to you as I am and say a big thank you for that message I heard on Sunday, for the obedience of deliverer of the message and for task of process of preparing room for you within my heart and my life; for in this process, this morning, I finally see the intricate makings of who you have made me to be…simply beautiful.

I am so thankful, because as I type this, you are showing me, in snatches and glimpses, within my mind and spirit, the unique, yet beautiful colours of who I am, who you made me to be. You are showing me that I am truly a beautiful person; both inside and out – quirks, faults, blemishes and all. I thought I knew, but this morning I now KNOW (yup sounds strange huh?), and actually understand the full ramifications of what it means to be me. What it means when you say in Genesis 1:26 - 27, that you made me in your image, a reason and for a specific purpose. It reads "26 Then God said, “Let us make human beings in our image, to be like us. They will reign over the fish in the sea, the birds in the sky, the livestock, all the wild animals on the earth, and the small animals that scurry along the ground.” 27 So God created human beings in his own image. In the image of God he created them; male and female he created them".

I am thankful for revealing this revelation, for it means I no longer aim or am I willing to settle (unknowingly) for just happiness - which is external, but I am now refined to 'Aim for Joy', which comes from within, from you who is alive and living within me! I aim for Joy as John 15:11 commands. It reads "I have told you these things so that you will be filled with my joy. Yes, your joy will overflow! " .

I am thankful for in clearing out the contents of my heart, I am finally free from labels every single pathway of my life has tried to stick on me. All the place cards, signs, posters I have hung up, unknowingly or unconsciously within the hidden corridors of my heart, are now finally pulled down – the view is simply beautiful.

So today, Paper, my maker, I come to you with my basket overflowing with thanksgiving, presenting to you in praise; tears streaming down my face as I type, in thankfulness for the message on Sunday 28 December 2008, and indeed the deliverer, Pastor T.

I am thankful that in doing what you asked, through your prophet, this morning, you have revealed myself to me. I’m amazed at what I perceive, at what I see, at what I have missed and yet to see. I am thankful that I finally see me the way that you do. I am thankful that I know without a shadow of doubt, that I have been made beautiful. I am thankful that you have helped me to FULLY believe, despite my fault, quirks and all, I AM BEAUTIFUL.

I thank you for my renewed vision, renewed understanding, renewed self love, renewed alignment on the reflection of me that I see. I am thankful for still, you tell me this is simply a fraction of how and who you have made me to be, and that evokes excitement and joyful expectations of more me I am yet to experience.

Father, I pray my basket full of thanksgiving delivered at your feet, in praise is sweet smelling and acceptable in your presence. My God and my King, my molder, my creator and maker, be honored in my thanksgiving and glorified in my praises today. In Jesus Name… Amen

31 Days Thanksgiving and Praise - Day 29

"6No, this is the kind of fasting I want:
Free those who are wrongly imprisoned;
lighten the burden of those who work for you.
Let the oppressed go free, and remove
the chains that bind people.
7 Share your food with the hungry,
and give shelter to the homeless.
Give clothes to those who need them, and
do not hide from relatives who need your help".

Isaiah 58: 6-7

Today Papa, I am thankful for the refreshing, yet strict discipline of the increased practise of FASTING in my life this year..

I am thankful for fasting has and continues to help me to take my focus of things of this world and focus on you, and in doing so, making me humble hence bringing me much closer to you, making 2 Chronicles 7:14 a reality. It reads "Then if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and restore their land. "

I am thankful for fasting for it helps to loose bonds of wickedness and release of un-forgiveness as described in Isaiah 58:6, which reads "[Rather] is not this the fast that I have chosen: to loose the bonds of wickedness, to undo the bands of the yoke, to let the oppressed go free, and that you break every [enslaving] yoke?"

I am thankful for my increased discipline of fasting this year, for it has helped me to see who I really am within, has broth forth repentance and release from past and hidden hurt and grief.

I am thankful for fasting, for it reminds me to share my food with the hungry and give shelter to the homeless, as commanded in Isaiah 58:7, which reads "Share your food with the hungry, and give shelter to the homeless."

I am thankful for fasting for it reminds me to give clothes to those who need then and be available to those who need my help, as commanded in Isaiah 58:8, which reads "Give clothes to those who need them, and do not hide from relatives who need your help".

I am thankful for my increased fasting for it has given and continues to give me physical and spiritual benefits. During fasting my body has been healed physically from toxins and spiritually it has helped me slow down during my hectic lifestyle to hear and listen closely to God.

So, today dear Papa, I come to you with my basket overflowing in thanksgiving for my increased fasting and praying this year. I am thankful for encouraging and teaching me the in depth meaning and importance of fasting and praying, even when everything seemed perfect in the natural.

I am thankful for the relief I get through fasting. I am thankful for the breakthroughs, the blessings, the insight and wisdom you bestow upon me when I humble myself through fasting.

I am thankful that when I humble myself through fasting, you draw me nearer and closer to you.

Father, I pray that my basket of thanksgiving for fasting is acceptable in your sight today. Be glorified in my thanksgiving and honored in my praises today. In Jesus name I pray... Amen.

31 Days Thanksgiving and Praise - Day 28

But Samuel replied,
“What is more pleasing to the Lord:
your burnt offerings and sacrifices or
your obedience to his voice?
Listen! Obedience is better than sacrifice,
and submission is better than offering the fat of rams.

1Samuel 15:22

Today dear Papa, I am thankful for teaching me this year, one step at a time to be obedient to you. I am thankful for the ever increasing spirit of obedient you are creating within me.

I am thankful for displaying obedience even in the most minute or remotely out fetched tasks, even when I don't understand why!

I am thankful for the growing obedience within me because it shows that I love you as explained in John 14: 15 which reads "If you [really] love Me, you will keep (obey) My commands."

I am thankful for growing and walking in obedience because when I do, God will show himself to me as confirmed in John 14:21, which reads "Those who accept my commandments and obey them are the ones who love me. And because they love me, my Father will love them. And I will love them and reveal myself to each of them.”

I am thankful for the spirit of obedience for when I obey the presence of the holy spirit is and will always be with me as confirmed in Acts 5:32, which reads "We are witnesses of these things and so is the Holy Spirit, who is given by God to those who obey him."

I am thankful for my obedience because when I do, I have confident assurance that I am able to ask and receive anything I ask or need from you Papa in Jesus name. As confirmed in

1 John 3:22, which reads "22 And we will receive from him whatever we ask because we obey him and do the things that please him."

I am thankful for growing in obedience because I know when I obey, father you bless me with earthly inheritance as confirmed in Deuteronomy 11: 8 - 9, which reads " 8 Therefore, be careful to obey every command I am giving you today, so you may have strength to go in and take over the land you are about to enter. 9 If you obey, you will enjoy a long life in the land the Lord swore to give to your ancestors and to you, their descendants—a land flowing with milk and honey!".

I am thankful for growing in obedience, for I know when I obey, father, you bless me with heavenly blessings as confirmed in Deuteronomy 11:13 - 14, which reads "If you carefully obey all the commands I am giving you today, and if you love the Lord your God and serve him with all your heart and soul, 14 then he will send the rains in their proper seasons—the early and late rains—so you can bring in your harvests of grain, new wine, and olive oil. "

So yes, Papa, today, I am thankful for installing within me the ever growing spirit of obedience to your word, to your will. I am thankful for obedience towards the seemingly little and insignificant things, to the large and significant.

I am thankful that every day, one step at a time, you move and refine me towards total obedience and understanding of your word.

Father, I place my basket overflowing with thanksgiving and praise at your feet, thanking you for bestowing upon me the spirit of obedience to your words, your will and your ways.

Papa, I pray my basket is presentable and sweet smelling in your presence. Be glorified in my thanksgiving and honoured in my praises this very day. In Jesus name I pray... Amen.

31 Days Thanksgiving and Praise - Day 27

I read an article yesterday about how men and women away on service for their country - such as in the Army and Navy - keep in touch with their loved ones they left at home. The government provides some of the best technology tools and methods that enable them to keep in constant contact. Technologies such as mobile phones, video conferences, web cameras, Internet and email - to mention a few.

And I thought, wow, this is awesome. These individuals might be far away from home, but through technology they are able to give comfort to their families- mothers, fathers, children and relatives - that they are doing well and are okay.

Today dear Papa, I am thankful for technology and it's usage! I am happy to say that I am a techno loving, fully hugging and embracing chick.

I am thankful that technology can help those in ministry be more effective in their Kingdom-building efforts by through seamless facilitating of outreach meetings and events.

I am thankful for technology because without technology, I won't be here, right now, putting up this post and adayingodswill readers won't be able to read these same words.

I am thankful for technology because I am able to read the bible and other books on the go... All from my mobile phone! Awesome (no more excuse of not having time or waking up late!)

I am thankful for technology because I am able to keep in constant contact with my friends and family; those who are not physically near me. I am able to call, email, put a web post up and much more.

I am thankful for technology because even though the devil intends it for bad, I am able to use it for good and use it as a tool to be a witness to the gospel of Jesus Christ - across physical boundaries such as states, countries and continents.

I am thankful for technology because of the wonderful life it gives physically challenged individuals; like fully electric and computerised wheel chairs, hearing aids and much more.

God does indeed make everything available work together for our good, and for the advancement of his kingdom as stated in Romans 8:28, which reads "And we know that God causes everything to work together[a] for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them."

So yes, Papa, today, I am thankful for technology. I am thankful for giving the people who design all these technology the wisdom, incentive and ability to do so. I am thankful that I am able to afford and use this same technology for your glory, for the advancement of your kingdom.

I am thankful that I am able to use it to keep in constant touch with beloved family and friends; near and far.

I am thankful for technology for the privilege and boundless outlet it gives me to be a witness to the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Lord as I present my basket of thanksgiving wrapped up in praise for the gift of technology, I pray it is sweet smelling and presentable in your presence. Be glorified and honored in my thanksgiving and praise in Jesus Name. Amen.

31 Days Thanksgiving and Praise - Day 26

Today dear Papa, I am thankful for the parents you have so wonderfully blessed me with. I am thankful for my mum and dad.

I am thankful that they are alive and well and I was able to spend yet another wonderful Christmas with them, and by your grace I pray many more to come.

I am thankful for my parents because despite all the trials and tribulations they have had concerning their health this year, they are still here, but not just here, they are well and healthy to see yet another Christmas day.

I am thankful for my parents because of their selfless love towards me, even when I am being disciplined for behaving quite badly (I gave them quite a few hair raising moments when I was growing up - to say the least!), they disciplined because they loved me. It reminds me of Hebrews 12:6, which reads "6For the Lord corrects and disciplines everyone whom He loves, and He punishes, even scourges, every son whom He accepts and welcomes to His heart and cherishes".

I am thankful that my parents are still here and make it easy for me to live according to the instructions of Ephesians 6:2-3, which reads "2Honor (esteem and value as precious) your father and your mother--this is the first commandment with a promise. 3That all may be well with you and that you may live long on the earth".

I am thankful because, this year, I have had yet another chance to fall in love with my parents all over again. It's a blessing to see them well, healthy, secure, safe, and see the depth of love they have for me - it's awesome. Makes me think and imagine the depth and width of God's love for me. It makes me think of Isaiah 49:16, which reads "Behold, I have indelibly imprinted (tattooed a picture of) you on the palm of each of My hands; [O Zion] your walls are continually before Me".

So today, dear Papa, I come to you with my basket overflowing with thanksgiving, presented at your feet in praise, for the parents you have blessed me with. I am thankful for my mum and Dad.

Father, I am thankful that they are still here to share my ups and downs with. I am thankful that I was able to share yet another Christmas with them, and by your grace, many more to come.

I am thankful that this year, you gave me yet another wonderful chance to fall in love with them all over again; healing past hurt and pains.

Father I pray my basket is sweet smelling and presentable in your sight. Be honoured in my thanksgiving and gloried in my praises this very day, in Jesus name I pray. AMEN!

31 Days Thanksgiving and Praise - Day 25

The Savior—yes, the Messiah, the Lord—
has been born today in Bethlehem, the city of David!
Luke 2:11

Today dear Papa, I am thankful for the birth of my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, because it proves that your word and promises are true. It proves that you say what you mean and you mean what you say, as is the promised manifestation of your words in Isaiah 9:6 - 7 came to pass on this day, many years ago. It reads

6For a child is born to us, a son is given to us.
The government will rest on his shoulders.
And he will be called: Wonderful Counselor,
Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
7 His government and its peace will never end.
He will rule with fairness and justice from
the throne of his ancestor David for all eternity.
The passionate commitment of the
Lord of Heaven’s Armies will make this happen.
Isaiah 9: 6-7

I am thankful for Christmas because it reminds me of the real and finite definition and act of Love given and shown to mankind through the author of Love himself - God; by sending his one and only son into t his world so that we might have eternal life, as confirmed in John 3:16, which reads "For God loved the world so much that he gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.

I am thankful for the beautiful lights and candles on display this Christmas for it reminds me that master Jesus is the light of the world as he confirmed in John 8: 12 ,which reads "Jesus spoke to the people once more and said, “I am the light of the world. If you follow me, you won’t have to walk in darkness, because you will have the light that leads to life.”

I am thankful for Christmas because it reminds me that regardless, I will never be hungry and thirsty again, which Jesus confirms in John 6:35, reads "Jesus replied, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never be hungry again. Whoever believes in me will never be thirsty."

I am thankful for the today because it reminds me that Jesus Christ came to deliver me from death, he came to change my course from death to eternal life as confirmed in Romans 4:25, which reads "He was handed over to die because of our sins, and he was raised to life to make us right with God".

I am thankful for Christmas, because it is a time to show love to others, hence bringing forth the true meaning of who you are and what you stand for, bringing glory to your name.

Thank you Master Jesus for laying down your life for me, so that I may live and reign with you eternally.

So, Papa, today, I come to you today, with thanksgiving and praise, dancing and singing in thankfulness for today, Christmas; the Birth of my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. I am thankful for the fulfillment of your word, to save and redeem mankind. I am thankful that because of the birth of Jesus Christ, I have been redeemed from the curse, I have been given eternal life.

Wonderful, glorious father, I pray that my basket of thanksgiving and praise is sweet smelling and acceptable in your sight. Be glorified in my thanksgiving and honored in your praises today in Jesus Name I pray. Amen.

31 Days Thanksgiving and Praise - Day 24

About eight days before the year 2008 is over! Thank you Jesus! As I count down towards yet another glorious and victorious year, I am expectant to that which you are going to do for, through, with and in me even before the end of the year. Eight days is more than enough for you to bring to reality that which I am praying for.

Today dear Papa, I am thankful for the spirit of expectation which you created within me.

I am thankful for the spirit of expectation because it encourages me to bring my requests to you every morning and patiently wait for your answer, for you always hear me. Such as David the psalmist experienced in Psalm 5:3, which reads "Listen to my voice in the morning, Lord. Each morning I bring my requests to you and wait expectantly".

I am thankful for the spirit of expectation for it confirms to me the hope I have in you, which you have given me, as confirmed in Romans 8:24, which reads "We were given this hope when we were saved. (If we already have something, we don’t need to hope for it". And also gives me soul the assured confidence to wait patiently on you, such as the Psalmist explained in Psalms 62:5, which reads "My soul, wait in silence for God only, For my hope is from Him"

So today, Papa, I come to you with my basket full of thanksgiving and praise in thankfulness for the spirit of expectation you have created in me. I am thankful because it helps me to further anchor my hope and hang on to the faith I have in you. It helps me to patiently wait on you for answers to my prayers and for help. It helps me to realise that all my dreams and hopes can only and will be realised through you.

Father, I pray my basket of thanksgiving, overflowing with the spirit of expectation, presented to you in praise and worship, is sweet smelling and acceptable in your sight.
Papa, be honoured in my thanksgiving and glorified in my praises today. In Jesus name I pray. Amen

31 Days Thanksgiving and Praise - Day 23

10 “The rain and snow come down from the heavens
and stay on the ground to water the earth.
They cause the grain to grow, producing seed for
the farmer and bread for the hungry.
11 It is the same with my word.
I send it out, and it always produces fruit.
It will accomplish all I want it to,
and it will prosper everywhere I send it.

Isaiah 55:10-11

Today, dear Papa, I am thankful that for the faithfulness and the power of promise of your words in my life.

I am thankful that you watch over your words so that they are manifested in my life, as you confirm in Jeremiah 1:12 which reads "which reads "12Then said the Lord to me, You have seen well, for I am alert and active, watching over My word to perform it".

I am thankful that this year, you have shown me the faithfulness of your word, by answering my prayers through the remembrance of your word over my life.

I am thankful for your word abiding in me and because of this, I know that whatever I ask for, according to your WILL, will be my reality as you confirm in John 15:7-8 which reads "7If you live in Me [abide vitally united to Me] and My words remain in you and continue to live in your hearts, ask whatever you will, and it shall be done for you. 8When you bear (produce) much fruit, My Father is honored and glorified, and you show and prove yourselves to be true followers of Mine".

I am thankful for the faithfulness and power of the promise of your words, because your words will not return back to you void. That which you have commanded it to establish and manifest in my life, will be just so. It means your words NEVER FAILS, as you confirm in Isaiah 55:11, which reads "So shall My word be that goes forth out of My mouth: it shall not return to Me void [without producing any effect, useless], but it shall accomplish that which I please and purpose, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it."

So, yes, today Papa, I come with my basket overflowing with thanksgiving, wrapped in praise for the faithfulness and power of your word. I am thankful because I know that each and every single word you have spoken over my life, to me, will come to pass. I am thankful because each and every word you have written about and to me in the Bible will come to pass. I am thankful because you word NEVER FAILS, it will accomplish your Will in my life as you have commanded it to.
Father, I pray my basket is sweet smelling and acceptable in thy sight. Be honored in my thanksgiving and praises today in Jesus name I pray. Amen.

31 Days Thanksgiving and Praise - Day 22

"Work hard so you can present yourself to God and receive his approval. Be a good worker, one who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly explains the word of truth" 2Timothy 2:15

On Saturday, I attended the last workers meeting in my sanctuary and it was awesome. It's usually a meeting where we review our performance over the past year, challenged and renew our mandate to keep serving God - spiritually and physically. The atmosphere was awesome and I felt honored and privileged to be a worker, a servant for Jesus Christ. To be a worker for God, and for the advancement of his kingdom.

Today dear Papa, I am thankful for being a worker; a servant for you, to show the reality of who you are.

I am thankful for being a worker to the advancement of your kingdom helps me to follow the great commission Jesus Christ gave to us in Mathew 28:19 - 20, which reads "19Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. 20Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age."

I am thankful for being your worker because it reminds me constantly that I MUST live the great commission before I can preach it. I cannot say to others what I don't do or don't know. People must see Christ in me and that will be my greatest testimony to others.

I am thankful for being a worker, your servant because it reminds me that as God loves me, I must love my fellow brethren. It reminds and helps me to continuously strive to live and walk in God, which means living and walking in Love, for God is love as described in 1 John 4:16, which reads "We know how much God loves us, and we have put our trust in his love. God is love, and all who live in love live in God, and God lives in them".

I am thankful for being a worker, your servant because it helps me to be sensitive to the needs of people around me, making less selfish and the ability to share and embrace a giving nature, putting to practise what Jesus meant in Mark 2:17, which reads "Jesus, overhearing, shot back, "Who needs a doctor: the healthy or the sick? I'm here inviting the sin-sick, not the spiritually-fit."

I am thankful for being a worker, your servant because it teaches me and helps me use the testimonies of God's love, greatness and faithfulness to teach others the difference between KNOWING God and knowing about God. This gives the reality of knowing God's voice as described in John 10:4-5, which reads "4 After he has gathered his own flock, he walks ahead of them, and they follow him because they know his voice. 5 They won’t follow a stranger; they will run from him because they don’t know his voice."

So today, dear Papa, I present my basket at your feet, overflowing with thanksgiving, wrapped up in praise for being a diligent worker, your servant, because it actually benefits me as well as the person I am helping to live a godly life. It helps me to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ, to share my victories and my testimonies of your greatness, faithfulness and love. It helps me to walk closely with you in love. It helps me to steadfastly walk in your will so that I continuously experience the reality of who you are and not just hear of you. For these and more I am eternally grateful.

Father, I pray my basket is sweet smelling and beautiful in thy sight. Be honored in my thanksgiving and praises this very day. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.

31 Days Thanksgiving and Praise - Day 21

It's almost Christmas and its that time of the year whereby lots of people go crazy on gifts and much more to family and friends, in hope of getting something back in return. But how about giving or doing something to someone who cannot repay you back?

Today, dear papa, I am thankful for the grace and ability to simply give. It takes the special grace of God to be a giver, and a cheerful one who will not expect anything back in return.

I am thankful for the ability to give cheerfully, living out the reality of 2 Corinthians 9:7 which reads "You must each decide in your heart how much to give. And don’t give reluctantly or in response to pressure. “For God loves a person who gives cheerfully.”

I am thankful for happiness and joy that I am blessed with when I give, giving me the reality of Acts 20:35, which reads "In everything I have pointed out to you [by example] that, by working diligently in this manner, we ought to assist the weak, being mindful of the words of the Lord Jesus, how He Himself said, It is more blessed (makes one happier and more to be envied) to give than to receive".

I am thankful for when I give, God gives back to me, full measure, pressed down and running over as confirmed in Luke 6:38, which reads "Give, and you will receive. Your gift will return to you in full—pressed down, shaken together to make room for more, running over, and poured into your lap. The amount you give will determine the amount you get back."

I am thankful for the ability to give freely and cheerfully, because it teaches me not to trust in this world's riches, or its good, but in God and in good works, so that I can store up treasures in heaven as described in 1 Timothy 6:17-19 which reads "17 Teach those who are rich in this world not to be proud and not to trust in their money, which is so unreliable. Their trust should be in God, who richly gives us all we need for our enjoyment. 18 Tell them to use their money to do good. They should be rich in good works and generous to those in need, always being ready to share with others. 19 By doing this they will be storing up their treasure as a good foundation for the future so that they may experience true life."

I am thankful for when I give, it helps me to emulate the examples of you papa; how you gave the ultimate gift of your only son, to safe and redeem me so that I can have eternal life; John 3:16, which reads "For God loved the world so much that he gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. "

So today Papa, I come to you with my thanksgiving overflowing with thanks and praise for the grace to give cheerfully. I am thankful for the realisation that I am blessed to be a blessing, thus give and share that which you have blessed me with.

I am thankful for when I give, I am blessed, filled with joy and elevated. I am thankful that when I give, it opens the pathway for someone to experience the reality of who you are, and who you could be for them.

I pray my box of thanksgiving wrapped up in praise is beautiful and sweet smelling in your sight, in Jesus name I pray. Amen.

31 Days Thanksgiving and Praise - Day 20

Today, dear papa, I am thankful for knowing that my body is a temple and the grace to treat it as such; spiritually and physically.

I am thankful that because I am a temple of them most high God, his spirit dwells within me as explained in 1 Corinthians 3:16, which reads "Don’t you realize that all of you together are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God lives in you"

I am thankful for the knowledge of the importance of this temple and the grace to keep it in top condition, physically through exercise and healthy eating and spiritually by feeding it with the word of God and guarding what information I let take hold within my mind and sub-consciousness. By doing so I am making myself ready and available to do God’s work as Paul explains in 2 Timothy 2:21, which reads "21 If you keep yourself pure, you will be a special utensil for honorable use. Your life will be clean, and you will be ready for the Master to use you for every good work."

I am thankful for by God’s grace I am able to discipline my body, through prayer, fasting and physical work so that I can run my life race and run to win the price, as Paul explains and encourages us to do in 1 Corinthians 9:24 – 27, which reads "Don’t you realize that in a race everyone runs, but only one person gets the prize? So run to win! 25 All athletes are disciplined in their training. They do it to win a prize that will fade away, but we do it for an eternal prize. 26 So I run with purpose in every step. I am not just shadowboxing. 27 I discipline my body like an athlete, training it to do what it should. Otherwise, I fear that after preaching to others I myself might be disqualified."

I am thankful because being a temple of God means he lives in me, which means I have the assurance of sharing his glory, as explained in Colossians 1:27, which reads "For God wanted them to know that the riches and glory of Christ are for you Gentiles, too. And this is the secret: Christ lives in you. This gives you assurance of sharing his glory"

So, today dear Papa, today I am ever so thankful that I am your Temple. I am thankful for this knowledge. I am thankful for the grace and ability to look after this temple; physically and spiritually, making it a beautiful habitat for your constant dwelling.

I am thankful for being your temple, because it means that you live permanently in me, giving me the assurance that I will share your glory.

Father, I pray that my basket of thanksgiving and praise that I set at your feet in thankfulness to being your holy temple is acceptable and pleasing in your presence. Be glorified in my thanksgiving and be honored in my praise, in Jesus name I pray. Amen.

I build you a temple
that's honest, pure and true
I humble invite you in Lord
I pray you fill every room

I build you a temple
that'st honest, pure and true
shine your light through me Lord
Let your glory fill every single room

31 Days Thanksgiving and Praise - Day 19

Today dear Papa, I am thankful for each and every Trial and Tribulation that I went through; the wilderness I ran, crawled, fought, swam, climbed, laughed and cried through; it gave me an opportunity to workout the very core and foundation of my faith and draw ever closer to you.

I am thankful because the experience thought me the true meaning of what Paul meant in 1Timothy 6:12, which reads "Fight the good fight of the faith; lay hold of the eternal life to which you were summoned and [for which] you confessed the good confession [of faith] before many witnesses".

I am thankful for the testimonies that have come out of my victories, for it will help someone gain their very own victory, giving them a testimony to help yet another person along the way.

I am thankful because the very road blocks the devil tried to put my way, the frustration he tried to put within my countenance, only reminded and affirmed to me that God is my source giving me the reality of Psalm 119:114, which reads "You are my refuge and my shield; your word is my source of hope."

I am thankful because I lived the reality of being victorious through Jesus Christ, giving me the beautiful reality of 1 Corinthians 15:56-57 which reads "For sin is the sting that results in death, and the law gives sin its power. 57 But thank God! He gives us victory over sin and death through our Lord Jesus Christ." In your face devil! Ah!

I am thankful because I lived out the promise of Psalm 34:19, which reads "Many evils confront the [consistently] righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all."

I am thankful because I can say with renewed affirmation that “I am happier, stronger and much more steadfast in my faith in the Lord, and that my joy is full – regardless my reality!

I am thankful because with that knowledge, I will forever hold on to my joy, which means, the devil cannot keep my goods. If he does, he will have to give it back seven folds. I’m pretty sure sooner or later, he would find out that’s its in his interest to stop stealing from me – because he will have to give it back!

So today, dear Papa, I come to you with my basket overflowing with thanksgiving for my the trials and tribulations I went through this year. The devil tried to frustrate me and steal my joy, but I am thankful that I held on to my faith, that I fought the good fight, that I have renewed assurance that you are indeed solid foundation, the pillar that holds my life, my source, my everything and my all!
Father, I pray my basket is beautiful and acceptable in your sight. Be glorified in my thanksgiving and honored in my praises today. In Jesus name I pray... Amen.

31 Days Thanksgiving and Praise - Day 18

And the song goes like this...

So I say
Thank you for the music,
the songs I'm singing
Thanks for all the joy
they're bringing
Who can live without it,
I ask in all honesty
What would life be?
Without a song or
a dance what are we?
So I say thank you for the music
For giving it to me

I'm sure some of you would have recognised those lyrics as being from a song by a pop group called ABBA. Well that gives an introduction to what I am thankful for today.

Today, wonderful papa, I am thankful for MUSIC... ahhhh (***happy sigh***)

Think for a second; can you imagine a world without music? Nope didn't think you could! I can't either.

Without music how would I praise, dance, worship (imagine that as one word - praisedanceworship) to papa, when I'm approaching his presence? I mean, check this out, I need to do a 'moon slide' first, then commence with a little 'swagger' to the left, and then 'tilt of hips' to the right. Now at this junction, I will most definitely introduce the 'break dance' to get me ready for the 'electric slide' and then 'running man' that will deliver me right into his presence!!!. Life without music? Impossibility! Thank you father for music!!

I am thankful for music for I am able to entertain my God and king with much singing and dancing.

I am thankful for music for I am able to sing my heart out to God; worshiping him in song, just like David the Psalmist did. He sang to God every chance he got, with his harp in tow. We see this in Psalm 147:1 which reads "Praise the LORD! For it is good to sing praises to our God; For it is pleasant, and praise is beautiful."

Even Nehemiah testified to David's song, dance and praise worship style to God. We read this in Nehemiah 12:46 "For in the days of David and Asaph of old there were chiefs of the singers, and songs of praise and thanksgiving to God".

I am thankful for music because, it allows God to give me a song to sing, each and every morning, such as he gave David in Psalm 40:3, which reads "He has put a new song in my mouth—Praise to our God; Many will see it and fear,And will trust in the LORD. "

So yes, today dear Papa, I dance my way into your presence with my basket overflowing with thanksgiving for the gift of music. I am thankful for being able to hear, feel, and experience the joy and pleasure of music. I am thankful I am able to dance to the beat and tune of music. I am very aware that not everyone is privileged to do so. I am thankful that I am able to worship, praise and honour you through my singing and my dancing.

Father, I pray that my basket full of thanksgiving, wrapped up in praise and presented to you with much dancing, is sweet smelling, presentable and acceptable in your sight.

Be glorified in my thanksgiving and honored in my praises and dancing today, in Jesus name I pray. Amen.

The essence of music
evident since days of old
The ramifications of music
simply a joy to behold

Musical rhythms in formation
sending notes on the wings of a cloud
making sweet music to the king
as we dance at his feet
in thanksgiving and praise
we humbly and gladly bow
