31 Days Thanksgiving & Praise - DAY 11

But Samuel replied,

“What is more pleasing to the Lord:

your burnt offerings and sacrifices or

your obedience to his voice?

Listen! Obedience is better than sacrifice,

and submission is better than offering the fat of rams.

1 Samuel 15:22

I thank you Father for another day to give you all the glory, honor and praise. I thank you for another day to be all that I can and should be, through obedience to your will.

Papa, today I say a big THANK YOU for your patience in teaching me the INTRICACIES OF OBEDIENCE. I am thankful for your continuous teachings and reforming of me, into responding in instant obedience to the things you want me to do.

I am thankful for your patience with me on working this trait in me. It has not always been like that with me, you know I always want to have my own way or do things in my own time and at my own pace. However, I find time and time again that your ways and timings are the best. Even when you tell me to do things, that to me, make no sense, I have and I am learning to just obey and get on with it. You do know what you are doing as you declare in Jeremiah 29:11, "I know what I'm doing. I have it all planned out—plans to take care of you, not abandon you, plans to give you the future you hope for".

I am thankful for teaching me to be instantly obedience because I am learning the continuous lesson that obedience is better than sacrifice as you teach us in 1 Samuel 15:22, "Samuel said, Has the Lord as great a delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices as in obeying the voice of the Lord? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams".


I am thankful for learning and growing in instant obedience for it helps me to show my love for you as you want me to. John 14:15 explains this better, "If you [really] love Me, you will keep (obey) My commands."

I am thankful because when I obey you give me the presence of your Holy spirit as you promise in Acts 5:32, which reads "And we are witnesses of these things, and the Holy Spirit is also, Whom God has bestowed on those who obey Him."

I am thankful because when I am instantly obedient, you reveal more of yourself to me as you promise in John 14:21, it reads "The person who has My commands and keeps them is the one who [really] loves Me; and whoever [really] loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I [too] will love him and will show (reveal, manifest) Myself to him. [I will let Myself be clearly seen by him and make Myself real to him.]" Papa, help me to be even more instantly obedient, so I can see MORE of you.

So today Papa, I say a big THANK YOU for your continuous patience to work OBEDIENCE in me. I am thankful for through obedience, I see and know more of who you are; I have a better and closer relationship with you.

Papa, I pray my basket of Thanksgiving and praise is acceptable and sweet smelling in your sight today. In the mighty name of Jesus I praise, thanks and Pray. Amen
